Gabaldón Burl Bowl

This wooden bowl is handcrafted by local Carpinteria based artist Ray Gabaldón. Each bowl that Ray makes is carved from burl wood charred from the 2018 Thomas Fire that Ray collected from the beach near his home. Ray carves these one of a kind pieces at his home studio. This particular bowl is made from a Catalina Cherry burl, and Ray has chosen to fill some of the indentations in the wood with a Pewter alloy blend.
