Return and Refund Policy

Returns      If, for any reason, you would like to return your order, DOMECIL has a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Once your return is accepted, instructions will be sent to you on how to send your package to us at the following address: [1223 State Street Santa Barbara, CA 93110]. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Returning items purchased online in person – to our shop

You may also bring the items you would like to return to our DOMECIL Shop in Santa Barbara along with your order number. A member of our shop team will be happy to process your return. 

Refunds          We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, we will make every effort to credit your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving your return. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 10 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return and you do not see a posted refund, please contact us at onlineshop@domecil.com. Please note we do not refund original or return shipping costs. Shipping costs will only be refunded when the return is a result of our error. 

DOMECIL reserves the right to refuse a refund on items deemed not to be resalable. This does not affect your statutory rights in connection with defective items.

Cancelations              Orders canceled by the customer may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Damages and issues              Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately at onlineshop@domecil.com if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items              Certain items cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (such as food, oils, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), personal care goods (such as beauty products), and pierced jewelry (such as earrings). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item at onlineshop@domecil.com.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on Sale Items or DOMECIL Gift Cards or eGift cards.

Exchanges      If you wish to make an exchange, please place a new order and return the original merchandise separately as per the returns policy. This will ensure the quickest service and that the exchange item you need is in stock. Replacement items are subject to stock availability.

It is not possible to use our online returns service for in person purchases made in our shop. All purchases made in person at DOMECIL shop that wish to be returned within the proper return period (within 7 days of purchase for a full refund and within 14 days for store credit) and must be processed in person at DOMECIL shop located at 1223 State Street Santa Barbara, CA 93110/
