Neo-Kintsugi Workshop
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of metal joinery, where gold is used to mend broken ceramics. This art form embraces imperfections to create a one-of-a-kind and sustainable creation.
In this Kintsugi class, you will learn a simple Kintsugi technique using modern adhesives and brass powder to create a unique plate or art piece. Synthetic resin dries quickly and is hypoallergenic. This method is suitable for decorative and non-food ceramics.
This Neo-Kintsugi technique makes learning this beautiful art form accessible and easy to understand. You'll receive personalized guidance throughout the process, ensuring you leave with a Kintsugi piece you love and the basic skills to explore a new hobby.
These beautiful pieces can be used in a variety of ways throughout your home, including catch baskets, decorative displays, and jewelry trinket trays.
All materials, including a plate, will be provided. However, if you have a plate of your own that you'd like to repair, feel free to bring it. Please note that we recommend bringing a plate that is no larger than five inches and broken into no more than three pieces.
