Kashiwagi Bell Chime, Dome
Hand-cast by Kashiwagi Art Foundry in Odawara, Japan, these bells are made using a traditional copper and zinc alloy refined over generations. Their clear, melodic jingle is widely regarded as the quintessential sound of summer in Japan—light, resonant, and lingering.
Dating back to 1686, Kashiwagi bells are often accompanied by a small paper strip, where a wish or intention is written and set out into the world. Both functional and symbolic, they are designed to bring sound, movement, and meaning into everyday spaces.
