Crafted from Catalina Island cherry burl recovered after the Thomas Fire—a devastating 2017 wildfire that swept through Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties—Threshold reveals the extraordinary beauty that can emerge through time and transformation. The vessel's natural opening, fissures, and richly figured grain are preserved as part of its story, inviting the eye inward and celebrating the character of the wood.

Handcrafted in Santa Barbara by artist Ray Gabaldon, this one-of-a-kind piece stands as both sculptural vessel and work of art, honoring the resilience of the landscape from which it came.
